Biblical Classical Community offers unique trainings for Christian homeschooling parents and high school students in Biblical Worldview Education. These trainings give parents confidence in solid Christian educational philosophy and methodology.

Many of us grew up with full-on secular-humanist educational philosophies and methods. Or else we grew up with a mixture of that and some Christian educational philosophies. In the latter case, generally the methods were secular-humanist.

Worldviews Taught Through Education

Secular-humanist classroom and teaching philosophies and methods are one thing. The worldviews taught through education are another. The worldviews that may be taught are:

  • Biblically Theistic
  • Moderately Christian
  • Secular-humanist
  • Socialist (diametrically opposed to a Biblical worldview)

Each of those categories have to do with PEERS:

  • politics (think government)
  • economics
  • education
  • religion
  • society

It’s beneficial for parents and high school students to learn what their current worldview is in the PEERS categories (see the end of this article for more on this topic). This gives Christian parents and students knowledge on where they may grow in a Biblical worldview.

Education From a Biblical Worldview

Worldview teaching is essential for a foundation for an entire Christian curriculum and homeschool. The Education From a Biblical Worldview: Philosophy of Education for Professional Educators online course is self-paced and it’s hosted by Jim Gilbert. Learn about:

  • Biblical Teaching Methods: Part 2
  • Developing Sound Reasoning Skills

  • and so much more

Keeping the Vision of Christian Education:

“Rev. James Burtcshaell, in his book, The Dying of the Light, documents the historical pattern of the decline of American Christian colleges and universities. The pattern is one of beginning with a strong Christian ministry and then gradually sliding into secularism. Over time the original vision is replaced by secular practices. The history of Christian Institutions of higher learning seems to follow a pattern similar to what Paul warned about in Galatians when he said, “Are you foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” (Galatians 3:3) This problem is not unique to colleges and universities. It is a tendency of all Christian works, including Christian elementary and high schools. We would be foolish if we did not think it could happen to our own ministries.” –Education From a Biblical Worldview

Christian parents and students can teach and learn in true Liberty through Biblical Worldview Education. Shake the shackles of secular-humanist influence and take the self-paced, online course: Education From a Biblical Worldview: Philosophy of Education for Professional Educators.
