“When we enter the study of Geography, they will very naturally inquire, When and how, did this world, of which we are about to acquire a knowledge, come into being? Who made it? For what purpose was it made? When and where, were the first parents of the human race created? What great events have happened in this world, since it was created? How long is it to last? What will its end be?”
-Jedediah Morse, American geographer and preacher
(Whose textbooks became a staple for students in the United States.)
In this course, you will learn to think and reason Biblically and Providentially about Geography from God’s Principle of Individuality.
Why study geography as an individual subject instead as a part of “Social Studies”? When one takes a social study approach to subjects as a collectivized whole, each subject’s personal identity and purpose is lost. So, in this course, we’ll enjoy the discovery and value of God’s Principle of Individuality in geography. And, we’ll delight in God’s wisdom of having distinct nations for His cause of liberty.
Since Biblical principles are overarching, this course is easily designed for early elementary to adults with reasoning questions that layer per grade range. It truly is designed with the family homeschool lifestyle in mind.
