Parent Practicums - Biblical Classical Community

Online learning is soaring in the homeschool community. While in-person is ideal, the internet affords the opportunity to connect when in-person isn’t feasible. For this reason, Biblical Classical Community offers online parent practicums in Biblical Classical Education.

A Biblical Classical practicum is a practical course of study in Christian philosophy and methodology of education. When the philosophy and methodology are rooted in the Bible, it is authentically Christian. In other words, there isn’t any mixture with secular-humanist educational philosophies and/or methods.

Authentic Christian Education

Authentic means: “Having a genuine original or authority, in opposition to that which is false, fictitious, or counterfeit; being what it purports to be; genuine; true; applied to things.”

A Christian education is authentic when it has students reasoning from Biblical presuppositions, premises and principles. Additionally, it will have students asking the questions that give students time to reflect and reason from God’s Word.

Teaching with context is another mark of an authentic Christian education. Academic subjects are taught with a Providential worldview instead of disconnected facts, names and dates. And it teaches the True, Good, and Beautiful in its Biblical context vs. the Greek-rooted version.

The Biblical Classical Practicums offered through Biblical Classical Community are:

Recommended Order

All three Parent Practicums are different and compliment each other. These three are essential courses for developing a biblical worldview education. Invest your time in them.

We recommend the following order, however they may be taken in any order:

Phase 1 introduces the Big Picture of authentic Christian education. Additionally, it compares and contrasts it to secular-humanist teaching philosophies and methods.
Phase 2 deepens the understanding of authentic Christian educational philosophy and methods. This helps equip parents to teach and to comprehend the philosophy and methods behind the courses at Biblical Classical Community.
Phase 3 deepens the understanding of Biblical Classical Education. It offers online lessons, practical application for the homeschool lifestyle, live mentorship and discipleship, and an online community of like-minded Christian homeschooling parents.

Phase 3 of the Biblical Classical Parent Practicum

The Biblical Classical Homeschool Experience™ membership is a 12-month parent practicum that teaches Christian homeschool parents the Biblical Classical philosophy and methodology.

Parents learn through short and concise videos, notebook pages, and once-weekly mentoring with Heather Hall. Parents learn practical application for the homeschool experience and form friendships with like-minded parents through the online community.
