Keeping the Vision of Christian Education:
"Rev. James Burtcshaell, in his book, The Dying of the Light, documents the historical pattern of the decline of American Christian colleges and universities. The pattern is one of beginning with a strong Christian ministry and then gradually sliding into secularism. Over time the original vision is replaced by secular practices. The history of Christian Institutions of higher learning seems to follow a pattern similar to what Paul warned about in Galatians when he said, "Are you foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?" (Galatians 3:3) This problem is not unique to colleges and universities. It is a tendency of all Christian works, including Christian elementary and high schools. We would be foolish if we did not think it could happen to our own ministries." -Education From a Biblical Worldview
(That statement stands true for Christian family homeschool as well. . .)
