Lesson 10 How to Multiply Fractions and Practice & Assessment
In this lesson, I will explain how to multiply fractions and use cross canceling to make the problem easier to solve. NOTE: The third set of worksheets where you multiply fractions and whole numbers, you will need to put 1 under the whole number to make it a fraction. Then use cross canceling to make the problem easier to solve. It’s that easy.
Tips
1. Change mixed numbers to improper fractions.
2. Cross cancel (if possible) to make the fractions easy to multiply.
3. Multiply the numerator and then the denominators.
4. Reduce or Simplify.
