This self-paced, literature course, based on the book Trail Blazer of the Seas by Jean Lee Latham, is a great study for the whole family. The book is rich in biblical principles and that’s why I love it so much. It is a catalyst for thinking deeply, building an intimate relationship with the Father of Oceanography, and being inspired to use God’s Word for your own life’s purpose.
This course is 10 weeks long, but may be stretched out to as long as you need to enjoy and fully immerse yourself in the riches of the story. Each week’s lesson includes an instructive video and assignments tailored to your child’s ability. I’ll tell you what you need to know and accomplish for that lesson and how to adjust it for your child. The goal is to complete two lessons a week for 45-60 minutes a day. You may want to take 1 to 2 days for each lesson. The lesson routine will be: 1) watch the video, 2) read the chapter, and 3) complete the assignment and activities. Younger children can do a smaller amount of the assignments while older children can engage in the full experience.
